We will have our first interest meeting for White Station Youth in Government on November 2 at 2:45pm in M207.

Next meeting and agenda

Our next WSHS YIG meeting will be on Wednesday January 21 during daytime clubs. We will work on bills or component needs, get everyone registered online, design our shirt for this year and go over how to pay with YMCA. This meeting is VERY important. Please do your best to move quickly and be on time.

The training meeting dates for memphis are as follows: 

January 13, 2015 6-8p at Hutchison HS

February 9, 2015 6-8p at Hutchison HS

March 26, 2015 depart from CBHS at 6a

March 29, 2015 return to CBHS at approximately 5:30pm

Interest Meeting for 2014-2015 Coming Up!!!

Our first interest meeting of the 2014-2015 school year will be held Thursday, September 11 at 2:30pm in Mrs. Kannady's room!! Come and hear about the exciting things happening this year!!!

Today's Meeting a few notes

Today's YIG meeting was productive and I thank you for that!

Here is what was accomplished and if you have not decided how you would like to participate, it's not too late!

For those of you who have picked a component to participate in, please be thinking about your bills, researching your department or researching Tennessee Appellate Procedure.

If you are running for office, begin working on your campaign speech so that we have plenty of time to work and refine the speeches.

Our next meeting will be October 1, after school. If you weren't at today's meeting, please try to attend the next meeting. We will begin working on how to write a bill, debate procedure and how to argue a bill.

Roman: Governor's Cabinet

(Gus), Huston and JD: Red (House/Senate)

Elissa and Dallas: Lawyers
     Elissa is running for Associate Justice
     Dallas is running for Associate Justice or Attorney General

Bella and Bernice: Blue Senate
     Bernice is running for Speaker Pro Tempore of the Blue Senate

Gus and Roman: Red (House/Senate)

Arshpreet and Kunal: Red House
